Thx a lot guys for the new version. Is there a way to see future support for x264 movie or series. for example to make it a xvid file and hardcoded subs on it?
You're welcome As I mentioned on the forum, the x264 itself is supported if you have suitable decoder installed in your OS and the video stream is included in the AVI container.
I like very much AVI Recomp, is a fantastic tool to resize avi files, but why the new versions (1.5.4 and 1.5.5) works slower than previous versions? Thanks for all and have a nice day. Regards.
Thanks for the nice comment. I actually don't see any reason why the new versions would be slower that 1.5.3 or lower. No changes were made in the main recompressing modules. Except the new version of Xvid. You may give a try to follow the steps described in this FAQ.
Take a look at the 'Changelog' tab in the main top menu Or... the same menu is also available on the left side of the page. Or... there is also a change log (multilingual) in ARC itself - when you click the 'About' button.
Hi, thanks a lot, I've always used avirecomp since 2009. First of all, sorry for my english, but I'm italian. Anyway, sometimes I would apply to my avi videos some filters or set things like brightness, sharpness etc... Is there a way to see future support for this things?
Thanks for the comment As for using filters, you can do it by editing AviSynth scripts. For the time being this is the only way to use external filters. Please use the forum to ask for more help concerning this subject.
Great job Mr Prozac! Very useful software. I am wondering if your AviRecomp (version 1.5.5) is compatible with Windows 8? Can I safely use it in this OS?
