Do I have to use any special names of my source and destination paths?
No, if you are using the latest version of AVI ReComp. Yes, if you are using version 1.1.0 or lower (see the explanation below). AVI ReComp uses some additional tools to perform the recompression. For example VirtualDubMod. Some versions of VDubMod don't support non-english characters and various versions of this software support these characters in the different ways. So the best solution is to not use non-english characres in your paths at all.
