What are the black borders?
The program can add the black areas at the top and at the bottom of the movie. Most of AVI movies are encoded in anamorphic format (16:9). When you play such movies using 4:3 monitor or TV black borders are automatically generated by the TV to adjust the movie to the screen. AVI ReComp can create permanent borders so that you will be able to put your subtitles on them.
